FAQ
What is a Fatbike?
A fatbike is a type of bicycle with extra-wide tires, designed for riding on challenging terrain. From sand and mud to urban environments, the oversized tires provide greater stability and grip, allowing you to ride almost anywhere.
The soft, thick saddle also adds extra comfort, making it ideal for longer rides.
How far can I ride on a full battery?
You can count on a minimum range of 50 km with all our models. The exact range varies per model and can be found in the product specifications.
Are Fatbikes legal?
Yes, but the bike must meet certain legal requirements. It cannot exceed a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour, the motor must not be more powerful than 250 watts continuous output, and it may not be equipped with a throttle.
All our fatbikes are fully legal and comply with these regulations. The motor has a continuous maximum power output of 250 watts, as permitted by law.
What is the difference between a fatbike and an electric bike?
The tires on a fatbike are significantly wider. From 4 inches (about 10 cm) and up, an e-bike can be classified as a fatbike. However, at its core, a fatbike is still a type of electric bicycle.
One major advantage of a fatbike is that, because everything is built larger and sturdier, you often get more range and a more stable ride. This is especially beneficial in rainy conditions, when riding off-road in nature, or in certain urban areas where tram tracks and uneven surfaces can pose a risk.
